WHAT IS GICLEE PRINTING?

Giclee (jee-klay) printing represents a vast step forward in printmaking technology. Images are generated from high resolution digital scans and printed with archival quality inks onto various media including canvas, fine art paper, and photographic-type paper. The giclee printing process provides better color accuracy than other means of reproduction.

Giclee prints are used for museum exhibitions, limited edition prints, fine art reproduction, computer generated art, photographic prints, canvas prints and wherever there is a demand for high quality reproductions at reasonable prices.

WHY CHOOSE GICLEE PRINTING?

Giclee prints are advantageous to artists who want to reproduce their art as needed. Once an image is digitally archived, additional reproductions can be made at reasonable reprint costs. This process eliminates the up-front cost of mass production for an edition. Archived files will not deteriorate in quality as negatives and film inherently do.

Our clients include established fine artists who entrust us to match subtle colors and textures when reproducing their one of a kind art works. From the original oil painting, watercolor, or photograph, we produce a limited edition of nearly identical reproductions for sale in their galleries.

We can print one copy, a numbered edition or we can print on demand for artists who do not want the expense and hassle of carrying a large inventory.
